Occupational Therapists

 

Allison O’Neill – Occupational Therapist

B.A.Sc., M.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Allison completed her Bachelor degree at the University of Guelph in Child, Youth and Family Studies and she earned her Masters of Occupational Therapy from the University of Western Ontario. Allison gained occupational therapy experience while completing clinical placements in community mental health, pediatric, acute palliative care, oncology and community physical health.


Allison provides services in the London area for Rehab First and focuses on the assessment and treatment of physical, cognitive and affective functioning. Through a client centered approach, she provides assessments, education, assistive device referrals and environmental modifications to maximize each client’s engagement in meaningful activities and occupations in the areas of self-care, productivity and leisure.

 

Angela Sulkowski – Occupational Therapist

M.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Angela Sulkowski is a qualified occupational therapist registered to practice in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. She is also a member of the Canadian Occupational Therapy Association. In 2006, Angela graduated from the University of Waterloo with Honours in Therapeutic Recreation. She worked in recreation for 3 years in the long term care sector when she decided to pursue Occupational Therapy. Angela graduated with her Masters of Occupational Therapy in 2012 from La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia. Angela has since gained experience in mental health, acute physical health, community home care, long term care and rehabilitation.


Angela is based out of Rehab First’s London office where she provides occupational therapy services including, but not limited to, assessment, treatment, assistive device recommendations and environmental modifications. She aims to maximize occupational functioning in areas of self care, productivity, and leisure with all her clients through collaboration and evidence based intervention. Angela believes that engagement in valued and meaningful activities is essential to optimize well-being and improve quality of life.


Azrah Lavji – Occupational Therapist

M.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.) 

Azrah Lavji is a certified occupational therapist who is registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and is also a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. Azrah earned her double degree consisting of a Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from D’Youville College. She has also obtained a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from McMaster University. Azrah is fluent in Gujarati and has clinical experience in a variety of roles including mental health, pediatrics, orthopedic, and neurological rehabilitation. Azrah is also certified in performing Functional Abilities Evaluations (FAEs).


As an occupational therapist at Rehab First, Azrah provides therapy services in Oshawa and the surrounding areas. She provides physical, cognitive and affective assessment and treatment to enable return to daily activities at home and at work. She improves client’s functional independence through education, environmental modification and provision of assistive devices. Azrah is involved in discharge planning and collaborates with families and hospital staff to ensure a safe transition to home. She places strong emphasis on client centered practice, enabling clients to reach their full potential in their self-care, productivity, and leisure occupations.

 

Calvin Wong - Occupational Therapist 

MSc OT, OT Reg. (Ont.) BSc Kin. Honours

Calvin Wong is a registered Occupational Therapist with Rehab First Inc. Calvin completed his Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University, and an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from York University. He is registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and is a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. He has clinical experience in the areas of complex continuing care, hand therapy, health promotion, community development, and geriatric health and care.

At Rehab First, Calvin’s scope of practice focuses on the assessment and treatment of physical, cognitive, and affective functions. He serves clients in the Toronto and surrounding area. To support clients’ return to independence in self-care, productivity, and leisure, he completes environment assessments and modifications, assistive device recommendations, and treatment and discharge planning. Calvin uses a collaborative, client centered, and holistic approach in order to optimize the clients’ engagement and participation in attaining their goals.

 

Carol Smith – Occupational Therapist

B.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Carol Smith is a registered Occupational Therapist who earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Western Ontario and is a member of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. Carol is a seasoned therapist with over 20 years of clinical experience working in both the hospital system and in community rehabilitation settings. She has worked with individuals with age related physical and psychiatric issues, chronic physical and functional issues, chronic and acute medical conditions, and acute physical and functional impairments to address the areas of self-care, productivity, and leisure.


Carol uses a client-centered approach for the assessment and treatment of individuals and she is a strong client advocate. Through support, education, and service provision, her goal is to improve, develop, maintain, or restore the individual to their highest level of functional independence in their daily living and work environments. Carol provides services in the Hamilton-Niagara area for Rehab First Inc.

 

Casey Soriano - Occupational Therapist

BSc. Kin, MSc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Casey Soriano is a qualified occupational therapist registered to practice with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. Mr. Soriano has obtained a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia and a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University. He is a member of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists with good standing. Mr. Soriano’s scope of practice includes occupational therapy assessment and treatment related to physical, affective, cognitive, and vocational function. Mr. Soriano has experience working in community health, in-patient mental health, pediatric and out-patient rehabilitation.


Danielle Dilworth - Occupational Therapist

MSc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.) BSc Honours Health Studies

Danielle Dilworth is a registered Occupational Therapist with Rehab First Inc. Danielle completed her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Western Ontario, and an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Heath Studies from the University of Waterloo. She is registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and is a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. She has clinical experience in the areas of acute care, in-patient and outpatient mental health, spina cord injury rehab, and community care.


At Rehab First, Danielle’s scope of practice focuses on the assessment and treatment of physical, cognitive, and affective functions. She serves clients in the Barrie and surrounding area. This encompasses providing education, recommending
environment modifications, providing assistive devices, and facilitating rehabilitation in the areas of self-care, leisure, and productivity. Using a client-centred and collaborative approach, Danielle works with clients, and their families, to help them return to occupations that are meaningful to them.

  

Diana Kudela - Occupational Therapist

MSc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Diana Kudela is a Registered Occupational Therapist working out of the Toronto office and is both a member of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. She holds a Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy and Bachelors of Honours Health Sciences both from the University of Western Ontario. She has a particular focus on life skills assessment and psychosocial rehabilitation. She has extensive experience in community rehabilitation for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.


At Rehab First Diana is involved in abilities and rehabilitation needs assessments; and occupational therapy treatment including service coordination, assistive device prescription, and home and worksite modification. She assists clients in the Toronto area on their paths to recovery after major illness or injury.

 

Doris Ting – Occupational Therapist

B.ASc. OT, M.SSc. Couns., OT Reg. (Ont.)

Doris Ting is a registered Occupational Therapist with Rehab First Inc. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Sydney and a Master Degree in Counselling from the University of South Australia. Doris has clinical experience in a variety of roles including paediatrics, orthopedic, geriatric, and neurological rehabilitation. She has worked in hospital, community, and school settings. She has completed professional development courses in NDT® for adult hemiplegia, seating and mobility, solution-focused coaching, handwriting without tears®, paediatric feeding difficulties, and paediatric sensory-based challenges. Doris is fluent in Cantonese.


Her scope of practice at Rehab First Inc. includes assessments and treatments related to physical, affective, and cognitive functions.She also offers services in recommendation of environmental modification and assistive devices to individuals with acquired brain injuries, chronic pain, stroke, development disorders, and spinal cord injuries. She provides evidence-based rehabilitation services within the areas of self-care, productivity and leisure. Ms. Ting is registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. She is also a member of Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists and Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.


Gabriel Paudyn – Occupational Therapist & Regional Director (Toronto)

M.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.) 

Gabriel attained his Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Western Ontario. His Masters training is complemented with an Honours Bachelor of Science, with a focus on Human Physiology, at Queen’s University. His practical experience encompasses the areas of mental health (comprehensive psychiatric care), rehabilitation (neurology and general medicine) and acute care (orthopedics and general medicine). Gabriel devoted his Masters thesis to the understanding of how the communication disorder, aphasia affects an individual’s life and the impact of this change on self-perceived quality of life.


Gabriel strongly believes that active participation in purposeful and meaningful activities is an integral part of the health and well-being of every individual. His practice strives to return individuals to their desired activities through the assessment and treatment of physical, cognitive and affective function, the provision of assistive devices, education on adaptive behaviors and rehabilitation and maintenance in the areas of self-care, productivity, and leisure. In addition to providing OT services, Mr. Paudyn is a clinical practice leader at Rehab First Inc. and manages a team of occupational therapists and rehabilitation therapists. Gabriel is also fluent in Polish.


Heather Jones (nee Greenwood) – Occupational Therapist & Assistant Director (Toronto)

M.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Heather is a registered Occupational Therapist with a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology, both from McMaster University. She is fluent in both English and French and has clinical experience in a variety of roles including mental health, pediatrics, acute medicine, orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation. Heather has additional training and a strong interest in brain injury and cognitive rehabilitation. She is certified in performing Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs).


At Rehab First, Heather serves clients in the York, Durham and Barrie areas. She provides physical, cognitive and affective assessment and treatment to enable return to daily activities at home and at work. She improves client’s functional independence through education, environmental modification and provision of assistive devices. Heather is actively involved in discharge planning and collaborates with families and hospital staff to ensure a safe transition. In addition to providing OT services, Heather is a clinical practice leader at Rehab First Inc. and manages a team of occupational therapists and rehabilitation therapists.


Heather Stinson - Occupational Therapist

M.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Heather Stinson is an Occupational Therapist with a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University. She has also completed an Honours Bachelor of Science with a major in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph. Heather is registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and is a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. Heather’s occupational therapy training is complemented with a diploma of Applied Holistic Nutrition from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition. She has gained clinical experience in a variety of areas including community mental health, orthopedics, developmental and intellectual disabilities, stroke and neurological rehabilitation.

At Rehab First, Heather serves clients in the Barrie and surrounding area. Her scope of practice includes the assessment and treatment of physical, cognitive, and affective function. Heather completes environmental assessments, assistive device recommendation, and provides rehabilitation in the areas of self-care, productivity, and leisure. She practices in a collaborative, client-centred manner to assist clients in attaining their goals. Heather believes that engagement in valued and meaningful activities is essential to optimize well-being, and strives to practice in a holistic manner to integrate and honor all aspects of an individual’s life.

 

Isabel Gowdy - Occupational Therapist

B.A., M.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Isabel Gowdy is an occupational therapist at Rehab First Inc. in London. She is registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and is a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. Isabel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (Honours) in Psychology and Anthropology from Western University, and a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University. Isabel has experience working in the London and area community in the areas of paediatrics, school based health services and adult home health care. She also has clinical experience in the areas of community rehabilitation, outpatient mental health care, acute care and community development. She has completed professional development courses in patient moving and handling, patient seating and mobility, overcoming mental health challenges, solution-focused coaching, paediatric feeding difficulties, and paediatric sensory-based challenges. She also has Level I certification in the Children and Youth with Acquired Brain Injury Training Program from The Ontario Brain Injury Association (OBIA). Isabel‘s scope of practice at Rehab First is to provide occupational therapy services for clients in the London area which includes assessment, treatment planning, assistive device recommendations, and environmental modifications.


Jennifer Compeau – Occupational Therapist & Regional Manager (Barrie)

M.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Jennifer is an Occupational Therapist providing assessment and treatment services for clients in Barrie and the surrounding area. She has an Honours Specialization Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Psychology as well as a Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy, both completed at the University of Western Ontario. Jennifer completed her graduate research on the process of occupational adaptation for people with acquired brain injury, chronic pain, and rheumatoid arthritis. She has practical experience working with clients in the areas of physical health, school health, community mental health, and private practice.

 

At Rehab First Jennifer works with clients to enable them to meet their goals with respect to self-care, productivity and leisure. She looks at the physical, cognitive and affective components of the person as it relates to the performance of their daily activities. Jennifer works collaboratively with clients through the entire rehabilitation process of assessment and treatment.

 

Jerrah Mae Revilles - Occupational Therapist

M.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Jerrah Mae Revilles is a registered Occupational Therapist with Rehab First Inc. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy in Velez College. Her scope of practice includes assessments and treatments related to physical, affective, and cognitive functions and recommendation of assistive devices to individuals with acquired brain injuries, chronic pain, stroke, development disorders and spinal cord injuries. She provides evidence-based rehabilitation services within the areas of self-care, productivity and leisure. Ms. Revilles is registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario, Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists, and Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. She is also a certified Occupational Therapist in the United States. Currently, she is undergoing training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. 

 

Josh Campbell – Occupational Therapist

M.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.), B.A. (Hons) Kin.

Josh Campbell graduated with a Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Western Ontario after completing his Honours Specialization in Kinesiology, also from UWO. He has experience in the areas of hand therapy, orthopedics, pediatrics and forensic mental health and has a strong interest in brain injury and musculoskeletal injury.


At Rehab First Josh is involved in assessment and treatment related to physical, affective and cognitive function. He is also involved in working with hospital staff and families to coordinate safe discharge from hospital. Once home, Josh coordinates the recommendation of assistive devices and rehabilitation and maintenance programs in order to help clients to achieve their greatest potential in all of their daily occupations.


Kaitie Hickling – Occupational Therapist

M.Sc. OT, O.T. Reg (Ont.)

Kaitie Hickling is a registered occupational therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and is also a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. Kaitie completed her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto after obtaining an Honors Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario. Her clinical experience includes working with clients in the areas of orthopaedic and neurological rehabilitation, acute oncology care, acquired brain injury, as well as providing assistive device and discharge planning recommendations.


At Rehab First, Kaitie provides comprehensive occupational therapy services in Oshawa and the surrounding area. She is involved in assessment and treatment of physical, cognitive, and affective function as it impacts a client’s performance in self-care, productivity, and leisure activities. Services include the provision and implementation of assistive devices, environmental modification, client education, cognitive rehabilitation, and service coordination. Reflective of her focus on client centred practice, Kaitie values working collaboratively with clients, their families, and their rehabilitation team to help maximize a client’s functional independence and facilitate their return to meaningful occupations.

 

Kayla Bridgman – Occupational Therapist

M.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Kayla Bridgman is a registered Occupational Therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario, and a current member of the Ontario Society for Occupational Therapists. Kayla completed her Bachelor degree at the University of Guelph, and earned her Masters of Occupational Therapy from Western University. Kayla has previous experience in community mental health service provision and has gained occupational therapy experience in pediatrics, community care, acute care, and clinical neurosciences.


As an occupational therapist with Rehab First Inc., Kayla provides client-centered care focused on assessment and treatment of physical, cognitive and affective functioning in the areas of self-care, productivity and leisure. Through the use of evidence-based practices, device prescription, environmental modification, client education, and collaboration, Kayla aims to maximize clients’ participation in daily life, as well as enable clients to engage in meaningful activities. 

 

Kevin Tyrer – Occupational Therapist and Regional Manager

M.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Kevin Tyrer is a Registered Occupational Therapist and Regional Manager who has degrees in kinesiology and occupational therapy from the University of Western Ontario. He has clinical experience working in a range of settings, including community mental health, in-hospital and in pediatric care settings.

Kevin provides a diversity of occupational therapy assessments and treatments to patients who are being discharged from hospital after serious injury. He also provides services in the home including service coordination, assistive device prescription, and home and worksite modification. He works with individuals with a range of injuries and illnesses including spinal cord injury, brain injur, orthopaedic injuries and psychological concerns and is expert in performing Functional Abilities Evaluations (FAEs) for a variety of case types. His work also encompasses assessment, reporting and testimony for Rehab First’s Loss Analytics and Litigation Support Practice.


Lindsay Maclean – Occupational Therapist

M.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Lindsay MacLean is a registered Occupational Therapist and a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. She earned a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Science in Honours Health Studies from the University of Waterloo. Lindsay has gained clinical experience in the areas of acute care, mental health, and inpatient rehabilitation. She has experience practicing as an occupational therapist in a community setting working with children, adults, and older adults.


At Rehab First Lindsay provides occupational therapy assessment and treatment for clients in the Kitchener – Waterloo area. Lindsay assesses the occupational performance issues of her clients through discharge planning, attendant care, in-home, cognitive, vocational, and worksite assessments. She creates treatment plans to help clients to improve functioning in their home environments, at work, and in the community including service coordination, prescription of assistive devices, education, and home/worksite modification. Lindsay has completed workshops related to moving and handling and seating prescription. She also attends vendor in-services regularly that showcase a variety of home health care products.


Meghan Watson – Occupational Therapist

M.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Meghan earned her Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Waterloo and her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Western Ontario. Meghan’s graduate research focused on the barriers and facilitators to post-secondary education for students with a learning disability. She has also attended workshops on moving and handling procedures, mindfulness mediation, and topics related to automobile insurance. She has completed an online course in brain injury rehabilitation and is working towards a certification in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.

 

At Rehab First, Meghan provides occupational therapy assessment and treatment to clients in the Guelph, Cambridge, Kitchener and Waterloo areas. Ms. Watson focuses on the assessment and treatment of cognitive, affective, and physical functioning through a client centered and holistic approach. Ms. Watson has experience in hospital discharge planning, assessment of attendant care needs, in-home assessments, worksite and workstation assessments, vocational evaluations and counselling, recommendation and implementation of assistive devices, and teaching adaptive techniques to individuals with catastrophic and non-catastrophic injuries.


Melissa Jamieson – Occupational Therapist

B.H.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.), CDMP

Certified Disability Management Professional

Melissa Jamieson is an Occupational Therapist servicing clients in the Burlington and Hamilton areas. She earned her Joint Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences in Psychology and Dance at the University of Waterloo and her Bachelor of Health Sciences in Occupational Therapy at McMaster University. Her clinical expertise has been acquired in a variety of settings in Canada, where her work experience includes roles at the WSIB and TTC, and India, where she studied at the Christina Medical College and Hospital in Tamil Nadu. She has extensive experience in the areas of disability management, workplace health, attendant care, vehicle modifications, home modifications, and health promotion. Her scope of practice focuses on assessment and treatment of physical, cognitive, and mental health conditions to support clients’ return to independence in self-care, productivity, and leisure.

 

Neha Hasan-Gill – Occupational Therapist

M.Sc. (c) OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Neha is an Occupational Therapist at Rehab First, registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. She is also a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. Neha attained her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy and her Honours Bachelor of Science, with a focus on Cell and Molecular Biology, from University of Toronto. While obtaining her Masters, Neha gained experience in various practice settings including neurocognitive rehabilitation after acquired brain injuries, mental health rehabilitation, hand therapy, and complex continuing care. At Rehab First, Neha is involved in the physical, cognitive and affective assessment and treatment of individuals who have been injured in motor vehicle collisions. This encompasses providing education, recommending environment modifications, providing assistive devices, and facilitating rehabilitation in the areas of self-care, leisure, and productivity. Using a client-centred and collaborative approach, Neha works with clients to help them return to occupations that are meaningful to them.


Nettya Senthilnathan – Occupational Therapist

MOT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Nettya Senthilnathan is a certified occupational therapist who is registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and is also a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. Nettya earned her Bachelor of Science (Honours) with a double major in Health studies and Psychology from University of Toronto and her Masters in Occupational Therapy from University of Sydney.


Nettya is fluent in both English and Tamil and has clinical experiences as an Occupational Therapist in a variety of health care settings in Canada and internationally. As an occupational therapist at Rehab First, she by provides therapy services in North York and the surrounding areas. She works with individuals who have conditions/ injuries that are mentally, physically, developmentally, or emotionally disabling, helping them to develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills. Nettya not only helps clients improve their basic motor functions and reasoning abilities, but also to compensate for permanent loss of function, with a goal to help clients have independent, productive, and satisfying lives.


Sarah Carey - Occupational Therapist

B.Ed., H.B.A., M.Sc.OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Sarah Carey is a registered Occupational Therapist with Rehab First Inc. She completed her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. Sarah also possesses an Honours Bachelor of Arts in socio-cultural anthropology and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto. Sarah is a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. She has clinical experience in the areas of mental health (community and inpatient), peadiatrics, community and long term care, community integration, and rehabilitation. 

 

At Rehab First, Sarah provides occupational therapy services to clients in Toronto and surrounding area. Sarah’s scope of practice is focused on the assessment and treatment of several components including the physical, cognitive, and emotional. The aim of her work is to collaborate with clients to enable increased functioning, independence, and a return to daily activities. Sarah believes that engagement in meaningful occupations can positively impact one’s health and well-being. As such, Sarah is passionate about working with clients to ensure that they are able to return to activities
that are important to them.

 

Sean Fleming – Occupational Therapist

B.A, MSc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Sean is an Occupational Therapist at Rehab First. He is a certified occupational therapist, registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. He is also a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. Sean attained his Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto. His Masters training is complemented with an Honours Bachelor of Arts, with a focus on Psychology, from York University. Sean has clinical experience providing assessment, treatment and discharge planning in a variety of areas including pediatrics, mental health, orthopedic and neurocognitive rehabilitation. At Rehab First, Sean provides physical, cognitive and affective assessment and treatment to enable return to daily activities at home, work and in the community. With a strong emphasis on client centred practice, Sean collaborates with clients to facilitate function in the areas of self-care, productivity and leisure.


Shauna Smith – Occupational Therapist

M.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Shauna Smith is an Occupational Therapist serving clients in the Kitchener-Waterloo and Hamilton-Niagara areas. She earned her Masters of Occupational Therapy and her Bachelors of Health Sciences from the University of Western Ontario.


At Rehab First, Shauna’s scope of practice includes assessing and treating clients to improve their physical, affective and cognitive function. She has a specific focus on return-to-work programming and vocational rehabilitation.


Stephanie Clappison – Occupational Therapist & Regional Manager (Guelph)

Stephanie Clappison is a registered Occupational Therapist with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) and a Regional Manager with Rehab First Inc. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Honours Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo and completed her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at McMaster University. Stephanie has clinical experience in the areas of complex rehabilitation, acquired brain injury, traumatic injury, chronic disease, and case management. She has experience working with a range of client populations including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Stephanie provides assessment and treatment services for individuals with both catastrophic and non-catastrophic injuries, including discharge planning, provision and implementation of assistive devices and technology, client education, cognitive rehabilitation, life skills development, and environmental assessment and modification. As a regional manager, Stephanie is responsible for supervising a team of multidisciplinary therapists in the Guelph, Kitchener-Waterloo, and Brantford areas.

 

Tanya Purevich – Occupational Therapist

Tanya obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University. She comes with experience working in a variety of settings including a hand therapy program, hospitals, private practice, community, corporate business, and outpatient clinics. Tanya is certified to conduct Functional Abilities Evaluations and brings a wealth of experience and skill to the Ontario Central team. At Rehab First Inc. she will be providing services in the Aurora, Ontario and surrounding areas.


Tayenda Austin – Occupational Therapist

M.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Tayenda is registered with the College of Occupational Therapist of Ontario and is also a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. She earned her Honors Specialization Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology & Health Sciences from York University and her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Dalhousie University.


Tayenda has gained clinical expertise working within a variety of health care settings (hospital/community based) and is skilled in treating clients with orthopedic, neurological conditions (including but limited to post stroke, brain injuries, amputees, hip/knee replacements, dementia, Alzheimer’s Disease). She has completed many post graduate certification courses for treating cognitive impairments and neurological impairments including Brain Fx 360, Neurological Development Treatment (NDT). As an Occupational Therapist at Rehab First, she provides physical, cognitive and affective assessment and treatment to enable clients to return to their daily activities at home and work. She provides occupational therapy services to clients in the Vaughan and surrounding areas.
