Occupational Therapists

 

Alexandra Leonardelli – Occupational Therapist

M.Sc.OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Alexandra (Alex) Leonardelli completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (with a minor in Psychology) at McMaster University, before going on to obtain her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto. She has gained valuable experience working with a variety of populations in diverse clinical settings, including community/home safety and mobility, advocacy-based public health, inpatient general medicine/neurological/orthopedic rehabilitation, and outpatient amputation/trauma/neurological rehabilitation.


As a registered Occupational Therapist at Rehab First Inc., Alex will be delivering assessment and treatment services in and around the GTA region, to enable clients who have been involved in motor vehicle accidents to reach their self-identified goals and to participate in their meaningful daily activities. Alex works from a holistic, evidence-based, and client-centered framework to facilitate independence and to optimize function and well-being in all facets of life.

 

Allison O’Neill – Occupational Therapist & Regional Manager (London)

B.A.Sc., M.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Allison O’Neill is an Occupational Therapist, registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario; working at Rehab First Inc. in the London and surrounding area. Ms. O’Neill is a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.  She completed her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Western Ontario.  She earned her Bachelor of Applied Science at the University of Guelph in Child, Youth and Family.  Ms. O’Neill has clinical placement experience in community physical health, acute oncology, acute palliative care, pediatrics and community mental health. Ms. O’Neill has had additional training with working with individuals who have sustained a traumatic brain injury.  Her scope of practice focuses on assessment and treatment of physical, affective and cognitive function, and recommendations of assistive devices and rehabilitation to maximize each client’s engagement in meaningful activities and occupations in the areas of self-care, productivity and leisure. Ms. O’Neill provides occupational therapy services as well as is responsible for supervising a team of multidisciplinary therapists in London and surrounding area.

 

Azrah Lavji – Occupational Therapist & Regional Manager (GTA – East)

M.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.) 

Azrah Lavji is a certified occupational therapist who is registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and is also a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. Azrah earned her double degree consisting of a Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from D’Youville College. She has also obtained a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from McMaster University. Azrah is fluent in Gujarati and has clinical experience in a variety of roles including mental health, pediatrics, orthopedic, and neurological rehabilitation. Azrah is also certified in performing Functional Abilities Evaluations (FAEs).


As an occupational therapist at Rehab First, Azrah provides therapy services in Oshawa and the surrounding areas. She provides physical, cognitive and affective assessment and treatment to enable return to daily activities at home and at work. She improves client’s functional independence through education, environmental modification and provision of assistive devices. Azrah is involved in discharge planning and collaborates with families and hospital staff to ensure a safe transition to home. She places strong emphasis on client centered practice, enabling clients to reach their full potential in their self-care, productivity, and leisure occupations.

  

Carol Smith – Occupational Therapist

B.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Carol Smith is a registered Occupational Therapist who earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Western Ontario and is a member of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. Carol is a seasoned therapist with over 20 years of clinical experience working in both the hospital system and in community rehabilitation settings. She has worked with individuals with age related physical and psychiatric issues, chronic physical and functional issues, chronic and acute medical conditions, and acute physical and functional impairments to address the areas of self-care, productivity, and leisure.


Carol uses a client-centered approach for the assessment and treatment of individuals and she is a strong client advocate. Through support, education, and service provision, her goal is to improve, develop, maintain, or restore the individual to their highest level of functional independence in their daily living and work environments. Carol provides services in the Hamilton-Niagara area for Rehab First Inc.

 

Caron Chen – Occupational Therapist

M.Sc.OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Caron is an Occupational Therapist registered to practice with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. She obtained her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Western University and Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto with a focus on neuroscience and physiology. Her clinical placements have provided her with experience in acute orthopedics, pediatric mental health, community physical health and spinal cord injury rehab. She has worked with individuals across the lifespan with physical, cognitive and affective concerns to help achieve their meaningful functional goals. 

At Rehab First, Caron provides comprehensive occupational therapy services in York Region and the surrounding area. She works collaboratively with clients on their recovery trajectory to address their physical, cognitive and affective needs in a holistic manner. She provides client-centred care to address occupational issues and promote occupational engagement in the areas of self-care, productivity and leisure. 

 

Christine Tran – Occupational Therapist

M.Sc.OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Christine Tran completed her bachelor degree in Rehabilitation Science at Western University, before completing a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy at University of Toronto. She has gained clinical experiences in a wide variety of settings with diverse populations, including acute care (neurology/neurosurgery), memory care unit (mid to late stage dementia), pediatric rehabilitation (orthopedics, neuromotor, inpatient seating) and outpatient mental health (Assertive Community Treatment team)
At Rehab First, Christine will be serving clients in the London and surrounding areas, providing assessments and treatments to address the physical, cognitive and affective needs of her clients. She works with clients to meet their rehabilitative goals in the domains of self-care, leisure and productivity. Christine prioritizes providing collaborative, client-centred and evidenced-based care.

 

Colette Schroll – Occupational Therapist

M.Sc.OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Colette Schroll is an Occupational Therapist, registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. She is also a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. Colette first completed her Bachelor of Arts with a focus in Psychology and Sociology from Wilfrid Laurier University followed by her Diploma in Social Service Work from Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology, before going on to obtain her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy at Western University. Her clinical placements have provided her with valuable experience in diverse clinical settings, including inpatient acute medicine, community pediatric mental health, community physical health (home safety and mobility) and outpatient plastics and reconstructive surgery rehabilitation/hand therapy. Her professional experience has provided her with knowledge and skills in pediatric school-health. Colette has worked with individuals across the lifespan with physical, cognitive and affective concerns, along with their families and caregiver(s), to help progress towards their meaningful functional goals.


As an Occupational Therapist working at Rehab First Inc., Colette provides comprehensive assessment and therapeutic treatment services in the Chatham-Kent area. Her professional conduct is based on the values of sincerity, collaboration and commitment to work from client-centered, evidenced-based and holistic framework. She works collaboratively with her clients on their recovery path to address their self-identified physical, cognitive and affective goals. She is committed to providing client-centered care to address occupational performance issues and promote occupational engagement in the areas of self-care, productivity, and leisure. 

 

Danielle Dilworth - Occupational Therapist

MSc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.) BSc Honours Health Studies

Danielle Dilworth is a registered Occupational Therapist with Rehab First Inc. Danielle completed her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Western Ontario, and an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Heath Studies from the University of Waterloo. She is registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and is a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. She has clinical experience in the areas of acute care, in-patient and outpatient mental health, spina cord injury rehab, and community care.


At Rehab First, Danielle’s scope of practice focuses on the assessment and treatment of physical, cognitive, and affective functions. She serves clients in the Barrie and surrounding area. This encompasses providing education, recommending
environment modifications, providing assistive devices, and facilitating rehabilitation in the areas of self-care, leisure, and productivity. Using a client-centred and collaborative approach, Danielle works with clients, and their families, to help them return to occupations that are meaningful to them.

 

Gabriel Paudyn – Occupational Therapist & Regional Director (GTA East and Ontario East)

M.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.) 

Gabriel attained his Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Western Ontario. His Masters training is complemented with an Honours Bachelor of Science, with a focus on Human Physiology, at Queen’s University. His practical experience encompasses the areas of mental health (comprehensive psychiatric care), rehabilitation (neurology and general medicine) and acute care (orthopedics and general medicine). Gabriel devoted his Masters thesis to the understanding of how the communication disorder, aphasia affects an individual’s life and the impact of this change on self-perceived quality of life.


Gabriel strongly believes that active participation in purposeful and meaningful activities is an integral part of the health and well-being of every individual. His practice strives to return individuals to their desired activities through the assessment and treatment of physical, cognitive and affective function, the provision of assistive devices, education on adaptive behaviors and rehabilitation and maintenance in the areas of self-care, productivity, and leisure. In addition to providing OT services, Mr. Paudyn is a clinical practice leader at Rehab First Inc. and manages a team of occupational therapists and rehabilitation therapists. Gabriel is also fluent in Polish.


Heather Jones – Occupational Therapist & Regional Director (Toronto)

M.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Heather Jones is a registered Occupational Therapist with a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology, both from McMaster University.  She is fluent in both English and French and has clinical experience in a variety of roles including mental health, pediatrics, acute medicine, orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation. Heather has additional training and a strong interest in brain injury and cognitive rehabilitation. She is certified in performing Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs) and is currently completing coursework to become a certified Life Care Planner. At Rehab First, Heather provides occupational therapy and case management services to clients in the GTA, York, Durham and Simcoe areas. She conducts physical, cognitive and affective assessment and treatment to enable return to daily activities at home and at work. She improves client’s functional independence through education, environmental modification and provision of assistive devices.  Heather is also actively involved in hospital discharge planning and collaborates with families and hospital staff to ensure a safe transition home. In addition to providing OT services, Heather is Assistant Regional Director at Rehab First Inc. and manages a multidisciplinary team.

 

Jenna Auger – Occupational Therapist

M.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Jenna Auger is an Occupational Therapist at Rehab First serving clients in Kingston. She is registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and is also a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. She completed her Honors Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education (with a minor in psychology) at Wilfrid Laurier University. After which Jenna worked as an Assistant Recreation Director of a long term care home, before going on to obtain her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy at Queen’s University. Jenna’s clinical placements have given her experience in inpatient and outpatient geriatric rehab services, dual diagnosis mental health, group therapy programming, and acute care neurology, cardiology, and vascular surgery.


As part of the Rehab First team, Jenna will provide services in Kingston and surrounding areas that focus on the assessment and treatment of physical, cognitive, and affective functioning to enable participation and engagement in meaningful occupations, including enabling returning to daily activities at home, at work, and in the community. Jenna is passionate about taking a holistic, evidence-based, and client centered approach in her practice to address the complex needs of clients in order to facilitate independence and to optimize function, autonomy, and well-being in all areas of life.


In Kingston, Jenna will provide services such as Occupational Therapy Home assessments, client education, provision and implementation of assistive devices, environmental modifications, and facilitating rehabilitation in the areas of self-care, productivity, and leisure. Jenna values working within an interdisciplinary and collaborative environment and is excited to be a part of the Rehab First team. 

 

Jennifer Compeau – Occupational Therapist

M.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Jennifer is an Occupational Therapist providing assessment and treatment services for clients in Barrie and the surrounding area. She has an Honours Specialization Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Psychology as well as a Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy, both completed at the University of Western Ontario. Jennifer completed her graduate research on the process of occupational adaptation for people with acquired brain injury, chronic pain, and rheumatoid arthritis. She has practical experience working with clients in the areas of physical health, school health, community mental health, and private practice.

 

At Rehab First Jennifer works with clients to enable them to meet their goals with respect to self-care, productivity and leisure. She looks at the physical, cognitive and affective components of the person as it relates to the performance of their daily activities. Jennifer works collaboratively with clients through the entire rehabilitation process of assessment and treatment.

 

Joliane Jutras - Occupational Therapist 

BSc. OT, M.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Joliane is a registered Occupational Therapist providing assessment and treatment services for clients in London and the surrounding area. She is also a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. Joliane earned both her Bachelor and Master of Science Applied in Occupational Therapy degrees at McGill University, in Montreal.

 

Joliane has experience working in an interprofesional, client-centered approach with older adults, adults, and children, in both home care services, long-term care facilities, and rehabilitation facilities. She has gained experience assessing and treating chronic and acute physical, cognitive, and affective functions with clients having orthopedic, neurological, and psychiatric medical conditions. At Rehab First, Joliane’s scope of practice encompasses assessing and treating the above populations by providing education, recommending environmental modifications, providing assistive devices, and facilitating rehabilitation in the areas of self-care, leisure, and productivity, through functional, subjective and objective evaluations. Joliane has completed professional development courses in post-trauma community reintegration, wound care prevention and treatment, dysphagia, spasticity, home adaptations, evidence-based practice, and clinical supervision, among others.


Joliane has experience working as an Occupational Therapist both in Quebec and Ontario. As a student, she completed a placement in South Africa as well. Joliane has lived in South East Asia, South Africa, and various provinces in Canada, which has enhanced her ability to work with clients from different cultural backgrounds. She is completely fluent (spoken and written) in English and French, and knows some Africaans and Lingala as well.

    

Josh Campbell – Occupational Therapist

M.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.), B.A. (Hons) Kin.

Josh Campbell graduated with a Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Western Ontario after completing his Honours Specialization in Kinesiology, also from UWO. He has experience in the areas of hand therapy, orthopedics, pediatrics and forensic mental health and has a strong interest in brain injury and musculoskeletal injury.


At Rehab First Josh is involved in assessment and treatment related to physical, affective and cognitive function. He is also involved in working with hospital staff and families to coordinate safe discharge from hospital. Once home, Josh coordinates the recommendation of assistive devices and rehabilitation and maintenance programs in order to help clients to achieve their greatest potential in all of their daily occupations.


Kaitie Hickling – Occupational Therapist

M.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Kaitie Hickling is a registered occupational therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and is also a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. Kaitie completed her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto after obtaining an Honors Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario. Her clinical experience includes working with clients in the areas of orthopaedic and neurological rehabilitation, acute oncology care, acquired brain injury, as well as providing assistive device and discharge planning recommendations.


At Rehab First, Kaitie provides comprehensive occupational therapy services in Oshawa and the surrounding area. She is involved in assessment and treatment of physical, cognitive, and affective function as it impacts a client’s performance in self-care, productivity, and leisure activities. Services include the provision and implementation of assistive devices, environmental modification, client education, cognitive rehabilitation, and service coordination. Reflective of her focus on client centred practice, Kaitie values working collaboratively with clients, their families, and their rehabilitation team to help maximize a client’s functional independence and facilitate their return to meaningful occupations.

 

Kelsea Liotta - Occupational Therapist

M.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Kelsea completed her Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics at the University of Guelph, and earned her Masters Degree in Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto. She is a Registered Occupational Therapist with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. Kelsea has experience working with adults and older adults with musculoskeletal, orthopedic, and acquired brain injuries, mental health challenges and functional and cognitive decline. She has attended various courses, workshops and symposiums directed at increasing knowledge and
skills related to brain injuries, chronic pain, and psychological difficulties.

Kelsea is based out of Rehab First’s London office where she provides occupational therapy services including, but not limited to, assessment, treatment, assistive device recommendations and environmental modifications. She aims to maximize occupational functioning in areas of self care, productivity, and leisure with all her clients through collaboration and evidence based intervention. Kelsea is a passionate occupational therapist who is committed to providing services
to people experiencing challenges in everyday life, to ensure independence and quality of life is maximized.

 

Lauren Schwalm – Occupational Therapist

Lauren Schwalm is a registered Occupational Therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario, and is a current member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. Lauren completed her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Western Ontario, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Western Ontario. Lauren has gained clinical experience in the areas of inpatient rehabilitation and private practice, working with clients with injuries and conditions related to physical, cognitive, and mental health.


As an Occupational Therapist at Rehab First, Lauren is part of the intake team and her practice focused on providing screening assessments for clients across Ontario. Through a client centered and collaborative approach, she provides client assessments to determine and access appropriate therapy services to meet each individual’s need in order to help them return to their meaningful occupations. 

 

Lindsay Goulden – Occupational Therapist

M.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Lindsay Goulden is a registered Occupational Therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. She completed her Honour’s Bachelor of Health Sciences (with a minor in French Studies) at the University of Western Ontario, before going on to obtain her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy at Queen’s University. Lindsay has clinical experience working in hospital rehabilitation settings, outpatient and school based paediatrics, and working with individuals with traumatic brain injuries in the community.


At Rehab First, Lindsay will be serving clients in Guelph and the surrounding area. Lindsay uses a client-centred and goal-oriented approach to support her clients to engage in activities that they find meaningful. Her scope of practice focuses on the assessment and treatment of cognitive, affective and physical functions. Lindsay is passionate about connecting with clients and their families to provide meaningful and actionable recommendations that will help clients participate in their daily lives.


Lindsay Hamilton - Occupational Therapist

Lindsay Hamilton is a registered Occupational Therapist with a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Sydney, Australia and a Specialty Honours Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and Exercises Science from
York University.She has clinical experience in a variety of roles including occupational rehabilitation, mental
health, home modifications, paediatrics, long term disability, ergonomics, and neurological rehabilitation.Lindsay has
additional training in motivational interviewing, relaxation therapy, jobsite analysis, return to work planning, cognitive behavioural therapy, and executive functioning for traumatic brain injury.At Rehab First, Lindsay provides occupational therapy services to clients in the GTA, York Region, Durham, and Barrie areas

 

Lindsay Maclean – Occupational Therapist

M.Sc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Lindsay MacLean is a registered Occupational Therapist and a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. She earned a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Science in Honours Health Studies from the University of Waterloo. Lindsay has gained clinical experience in the areas of acute care, mental health, and inpatient rehabilitation. She has experience practicing as an occupational therapist in a community setting working with children, adults, and older adults.


At Rehab First Lindsay provides occupational therapy assessment and treatment for clients in the Kitchener – Waterloo area. Lindsay assesses the occupational performance issues of her clients through discharge planning, attendant care, in-home, cognitive, vocational, and worksite assessments. She creates treatment plans to help clients to improve functioning in their home environments, at work, and in the community including service coordination, prescription of assistive devices, education, and home/worksite modification. Lindsay has completed workshops related to moving and handling and seating prescription. She also attends vendor in-services regularly that showcase a variety of home health care products.

 

Madiha Nehal – Occupational Therapist

M.Sc. OT Reg. (Ont.)

Madiha Nehal is an Occupational Therapist registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. Madiha completed her B.Sc. majoring in biology and minoring in psychology at York University in Toronto. She then decided to move to Australia to pursue her Masters of Occupational therapy at Curtin University, where she also completed 6 months of intensive clinical placements in hand therapy, acute care and aged care. After moving back to Canada, Madiha gained extensive experience working in the community serving clients of various orthopedic, geriatric and neurological health conditions to assist a safe transition home from hospital, and to increase independence and safety in the home/community.
At Rehab First, Madiha is providing services within the Durham region. She is both fluent in English and Urdu/Hindi.  Her scope of practice includes comprehensive assessment and treatment to support clients’ return to independence and enable participation and engagement in meaningful occupations. Madiha’s goal is to collaborate with the client to improve client’s functional independence through service provision, implementation of assistive devices, education/training, environmental modification, and support. 

 

Maria Elma – Occupational Therapist

BSC.O.T.Reg. (Ont.)

Maria completed her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy at Perpetual Help College of Manila, after obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science from Maryknoll College. Maria is a registered Occupational Therapist with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. She has 12 years of clinical experience in various settings such as long term care facilities, children in school settings, community based treatments and completed assessments such as home modifications, home safety, Mobility/Assistive Device Program, Slip and Falls, Pre and Post Hospital Discharge Planning, In-Home, Form 1-Attendant Care Assessments, return to work programs and is a Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP) provider.

At Rehab First, Maria is providing services within the Brampton area. She is fluent in both English and Tagalog. She also completed various certifications such as the Neurorehabilitation: Assisting Recovery & Function in Everyday Life Following Brain Injury (Level 1) from Ontario Brain Injury Association and also Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP). She has a proven ability to devise treatment programmes that increase a client’s ability to carry out activities or occupations independently, and with more confidence.

 

Marisa Rostek – Occupational Therapist

BSc., MSc. OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Marisa is a registered occupational therapist with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and is a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. Marisa obtained her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto and earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion with honours from Dalhousie University. Marisa has experience working with individuals across the lifespan in a variety of settings such as, inpatient stroke rehabilitation, community physical health, community pediatric mental health, and outpatient mental health for chronic pain and addiction. 
Marisa provides services in Kingston and its surrounding area. She ensures that her services encompass a client-centered and holistic approach when completing physical and cognitive assessments, and when providing treatment. She uses this approach to promote engagement through meaningful occupations to achieve client-centered goals related to activities of daily living. 

 

Megan Lewis - Occupational Therapist

Megan is a registered Occupational Therapist serving clients in the Meaford and surrounding area. She completed her
Bachelor degree at Acadia University in Biology and she earned her Masters of Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University. Megan is registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and is also a member of the
Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. Megan gained occupational therapy experience while completing clinical placements in community mental health, severe mental illness and dual diagnosis, pediatrics, acute stroke
care, and acute orthopedic care.


Megan provides services that focus on the assessment and treatment of physical, cognitive and affective functioning. She strongly believes in the use of collaborative methods through client-centered and family-centered practice to enable
occupational engagement in her clients; this includes completing assessments, providing education, and recommending assistive devices and environmental modifications that promote independence in the areas of self-care, productivity
and leisure.


Melissa Jamieson – Occupational Therapist and Acting Regional Director (Hamilton/Niagara-Western GTA)

Certified Disability Management Professional

Melissa Jamieson is an Occupational Therapist servicing clients in the Burlington and Hamilton areas. She earned her Joint Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences in Psychology and Dance at the University of Waterloo and her Bachelor of Health Sciences in Occupational Therapy at McMaster University. Her clinical expertise has been acquired in a variety of settings in Canada, where her work experience includes roles at the WSIB and TTC, and India, where she studied at the Christian Medical College and Hospital in Tamil Nadu. She has extensive experience in the areas of disability management, workplace health, attendant care, vehicle modifications, home modifications, and health promotion. Her scope of practice focuses on assessment and treatment of physical, cognitive, and mental health conditions to support clients’ return to independence in self-care, productivity, and leisure. Melissa is a Certified Disability Management Professional (CDMP) and has maintained this designation since 2015.

 

Muna Siam - Occupational Therapist

Muna Siam is a registered Occupational Therapist with Rehab First Inc. providing services in the Kitchener/Waterloo region. Muna completed her Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the Jordan University of Science and Technology and a Master’s degree in Clinical Neuroscience from King’s College, London, UK.

 

Muna received her professional training in various areas of occupational therapy including neurorehabilitation, mental health, geriatric rehabilitation, pediatric rehabilitation and hand therapy. As part of her continuing professional education, she has completed several courses to support her practice, including courses in hand splinting, wound care and seating and mobility systems. At Rehab First, Muna’s scope of practice focuses on the assessment and treatment of physical, cognitive, and affective functions. Nadine Thomas - Occupational Therapist

Nadine completed her Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy at Western University, after obtaining a Bachelor’s of Kinesiology with Honours from Acadia University. Nadine is a registered Occupational Therapist with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and is also a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. She has gained clinical experience in the areas of inpatient rehabilitation with both physical and mental health disorders, as well as community experience for adult psychiatric disorders and paediatric populations.


Nadine is based out of Rehab First’s London office. Nadine has completed certifications to support her practice with the Brain-FX neurological assessment and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training and continually seeks opportunities to update current knowledge and maintain an evidence based practice. Nadine focuses on maintaining a client-centred practice to enable clients to return to meaningful activities through remediation, compensation or adaptation of activities.

 

Neha Hasan Gill – Occupational Therapist & Regional Manager (Milton)

Neha Hasan Gill is an Occupational Therapist at Rehab First, registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. She is also a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. Neha attained her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy and her Honours Bachelor of Science, with a focus on Cell and Molecular Biology, from University of Toronto. Neha has obtained certification in Catastrophic Impairment Evaluation, as a Functional Observer, i.e. C-CAT (FO). Neha has experience in various inpatient and community practice settings including neurological rehabilitation after acquired brain injuries and stroke, mental health rehabilitation, hand therapy, and complex continuing care. At Rehab First, Neha assesses and treats individuals who present with physical, cognitive, and affective impairments. This encompasses providing education and assistive devices, recommending environment modifications, coordinating community resources, implementing cognitive rehabilitation, and liaising with employers and/or schools with the goal of facilitating rehabilitation in the areas of self-care, leisure, and productivity. Using a client-centred and collaborative approach, Neha works with clients to increase their independence and function at home, work, school, and in the community. In addition to providing occupational therapy services, Neha is a Regional Manager at Rehab First and manages a multidisciplinary team.


Nettya Senthilnathan – Occupational Therapist & Regional Manager (Woodbridge)

Nettya Senthilnathan is a certified occupational therapist who is registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and is also a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. Nettya earned her Bachelor of Science (Honours) with a double major in Health studies and Psychology from University of Toronto and her Masters in Occupational Therapy from University of Sydney.


Nettya is fluent in both English and Tamil and has clinical experiences as an Occupational Therapist in a variety of health care settings in Canada and internationally. As an occupational therapist at Rehab First, she by provides therapy services in North York and the surrounding areas. She works with individuals who have conditions/ injuries that are mentally, physically, developmentally, or emotionally disabling, helping them to develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills. Nettya not only helps clients improve their basic motor functions and reasoning abilities, but also to compensate for permanent loss of function, with a goal to help clients have independent, productive, and satisfying lives.

 

Nicole Zomer – Occupational Therapist

Nicole is a registered Occupational Therapist with Rehab First Inc. serving clients in the London and surrounding areas. She completed an Honors Specialization Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at King’s University College and earned her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from Western University. Nicole is also a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists.


Having experience working with a range of diverse clients with a focus on both physical and mental health, Nicole develops therapeutic and client-centred relationships with clients built on trust and empowerment. She has also completed several seating and mobility courses to increase her knowledge of mobility and adaptive equipment. Nicole is dedicated to her continued professional development and seeks opportunities further to develop her clinical skills in the areas of ergonomic and home safety assessments in order to maintain best evidence-based practice. 

 

Patricia Saad – Occupational Therapist

Patricia Saad is a Registered Occupational Therapist in the Province of Ontario and is a member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists. She completed her Master’s of Occupational Therapy from the University of Ottawa, and her Bachelors of Neuroscience from the University of Toronto. Patricia is fluent in English, French and speaks Arabic.


She has clinical experience in acute care, cardiology, vocational rehabilitation, community mental health and pediatrics.  As part of the Rehab First team, Patricia works with clients across the GTA to resume meaningful activities through a holistic and client-centered approach. She provides assessments, develops treatment plans with the clients based on their needs, recommends assistive devices, and provides cognitive rehabilitation and mental health strategies to optimize each client’s autonomy, function and reintegration into their communities. Patricia strives to help clients return to their meaningful activities through a collaborative approach with the client, their families and their interprofessional team.

 

Pauline Ricketts – Occupational Therapist

Pauline Ricketts graduated from Coventry University in England in 2004 with a Bachelors (Hons) degree In Occupational Therapy. Pauline has practiced primarily in the community with extensive experience in performing in home assessments, home modification, home safety, mobility assessments, in home-attendant care assessments and assessments for the Workplace Safety Board (WSIB) serious injury program. Pauline is an Assistive Device Program Authorizer.  Pauline Inspires to provide recommendations, treatment, education and training in all efforts to promote the safety and quality of life of the clients.

 

Robyn McMackin - Occupational Therapist

Robyn McMackin is a registered Occupational Therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario, and is a current member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. Robyn completed her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Western Ontario, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Dalhousie University. Robyn has gained clinical experience in the areas of community mental health, pediatrics, return -to-work/vocational rehabilitation, and acute care.


As an occupational therapist at Rehab First, Robyn is part of the intake team and her practice focuses on providing screening assessments for clients across all of Ontario. Through a client centered and collaborative approach, she provides client assessments to determine and access appropriate therapy services to meet each individual’s needs in order to help them return to occupations that are meaningful to them.

 

Samantha Bondy – Occupational Therapist

Samantha completed her Bachelor degree at Eastern Michigan University in Therapeutic Recreation, then went on to complete her Masters of Occupational Therapy from the University of Western Ontario. Samantha completed her bachelor degree at Eastern Michigan University in Therapeutic Recreation after which she pursued her passion for helping people with various diagnoses in group home settings for individuals with developmental and physical disabilities. Samantha recently earned her Masters of Occupational Therapy from the University of Western Ontario where she completed placements in acute care settings, neuro rehabilitation, on a community mental health team and in the community working with individuals post motor vehicle accidents and with WSIB claims.


As an occupational therapist at Rehab First, Samantha will provide service within the Windsor and Essex- County region. Samantha’s scope of practice at Rehab First is to provide assessments and treatments to enable participation in self-care, productivity, and leisure for individuals involved in motor vehicle accidents. Samantha will provide services such as Occupational therapy home assessments, environmental modifications within the home, attendant care assessments, rehab needs assessments, worksite and ergonomic assessments, recommendations for assistive devices and other rehab services that meet the needs of her clients.

Samantha will utilize a client-centered and holistic approach to work collaboratively with her clients to assist them with achieving their needs and goals, which will help enable those injured in motor vehicles accidents to participate in meaningful activities of daily living.

 

Samantha Richardson – Occupational Therapist

Samantha completed her Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy at Western University, after obtaining a Bachelor’s of Therapeutic Recreation from Seneca College. Sarah Tomczak – Occupational Therapist

Sarah is an Occupational Therapist at Rehab First serving clients in Ottawa. She is registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and is also a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. She completed her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University and an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology from Western University. Sarah’s clinical placements have given her experience in acute care (general medicine), acquired brain injury rehabilitation, and mental health. She also travelled to Moshi, Tanzania for a community development placement which provided her with cultural awareness and experience overcoming environmental and communicative barriers.

As part of the Rehab First team, Sarah will provide services in Ottawa that focus on the assessment and treatment of physical, cognitive, and affective functioning to enable participation and engagement in meaningful occupations. Sarah is passionate about a holistic and client-centered approach to address diverse and complex needs in a coordinated manner. She values a collaborative environment that focuses on building strong therapeutic relationships to establish trust and promote independence in the areas of self-care, productivity, and leisure. Sarah will provide services such as occupational therapy home assessments, education, environmental modifications within the home, worksite and ergonomic assessments, attendant care assessments, recommendations for assistive devices and other rehab services to optimize function and facilitate the health and well-being of her clients.

Shauna Smith – Occupational Therapist &  Regional Manager (Brantford)

Shauna Smith is an Occupational Therapist serving clients in the Kitchener-Waterloo and Hamilton-Niagara areas. She earned her Masters of Occupational Therapy and her Bachelors of Health Sciences from the University of Western Ontario.

Stephanie Neale – Occupational Therapist & Regional Manager (Guelph)

Stephanie Neale is a registered Occupational Therapist with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) and a regional manager with Rehab First Inc. She completed her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at McMaster University and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Honours Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo. Stephanie has clinical experience in the areas of complex rehabilitation, acquired brain injury, traumatic injury, and chronic disease and is currently completing coursework to become a certified Life Care Planner. She has experience working with a range of client populations including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Stephanie provides assessment and treatment services for individuals with both catastrophic and non-catastrophic injuries, including discharge planning, provision and implementation of assistive devices and technology, client education, cognitive rehabilitation, life skills development, home assessment and modification, and case management. As a Regional Manager, Stephanie is responsible for supervising a team of multidisciplinary therapists in the Kitchener-Waterloo and Guelph areas.

 

Tanya Purevich – Occupational Therapist

Tanya obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University. She comes with experience working in a variety of settings including a hand therapy program, hospitals, private practice, community, corporate business, and outpatient clinics. Tanya is certified to conduct Functional Abilities Evaluations and brings a wealth of experience and skill to the Ontario Central team. At Rehab First Inc. she will be providing services in the Aurora, Ontario and surrounding areas.

 

Taylor Lyons – Occupational Therapist

Taylor completed her Masters of Occupational Therapy program at Western University. Prior to this, she completed her Bachelor of Science from Western University with an Honors Specialization in Genetics and Minor in Psychology. Throughout her Masters studies, Taylor gained clinical experience across the lifespan in community and hospital settings, with placements at a children’s treatment centre, a community health centre, outpatient rehabilitation, and inpatient acute care.

Taylor is an Occupational Therapist in the London area, providing client-centred and holistic assessment and treatment. Taylor finds it very rewarding to collaborate with her clients to work towards returning to the daily activities that mean most to them. 

 

Victor Wu - Occupational Therapist

Victor Wu is an occupational therapist registered to practice with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. Victor has obtained a Bachelor of Medical Sciences with an Honors Specialization in Physiology and Pharmacology and a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy, both from the University of Western Ontario.
